The ISMOS-9 Welcome Reception will be hosted at Heriot-Watt University after the Workshop. There will be canapés, drinks, and music!

Conference Dinner

Ghillie Dhu

ISMOS Conference Dinner will be hosted at Ghillie Dhu, which includes Whisky/gin tasting, 3-course dinner and ceilidh (live music).

Suggested dress: Business Casual

Ghillie Dhu is at a straight-forward 20-min-walk away from Hilton Carlton. Buses and tram are easy options as well. Ghillie Dhu is also at the West End, where there is a variety of good restaurants, bars and pubs.

Royal Mile Underground Tour

(75 minutes, groups of 20 people)

Time slots: 17:30, 17:45, 18:00, 18:15, 18:30 

The Underground Tour starts at Mercat Cross, a 3-min walk from Hilton Carlton. People should sign up in advance to time slots (up to 20 at each, first-come-first-serve) and meet the tour guide at Mercat Cross.
